The Los Angeles Dodgers have traded for Scott Podsednik from the Kansas City Royals, and in return they will get minor leaguers Lucas May (C) and Elisaul Pimentel(RHP).

This year, Podsednik is hitting .310 with a .353 OBP and will fill a void for Dodgers in outfield while Manny Ramirez misses time on the DL.  Podsednik brings veteran leadership and playoff experience, recently winning the World Series with the White Sox back in 2005.

The more notable of the minor leaguers that the Royals will receive, May, has 11 HR with 46 RBI’s thus far with Triple-A Albuquerque.
